The Scoop's top 5 power rankings

1. Michigan
- Michigan is currently 21-2, with a huge overtime win over Ohio State making them my number one team.  They are led by sophomore point guard Trey Burke who is averaging over 7 assists and more than 18 points a game.  Look for Michigan to be a final four team this year.

2. Duke
-Duke is number two on my list because of their 19-2 record, and veteran team. Mason Plumlee is one of the best forwards in the nation averaging over 17 points per game. Having experience and a good Forward who can score will be crucial for Duke succeeding in the tournament.

3. Indiana
-With a 20-2 record and a huge 81-73 win over Michigan, Indiana is my number three team.  They are second in the nation for points per game averaging over 83 points.  With 2 losses to unranked teams, holds them down to number 3 for me.

4. Syracuse
-With one of the best defensive zones in the country Syracuse is led by 6'6" guard Michael Carter Williams.  With instant offense from Brandon Triche, Cj Fair, and James Southerland, Boheim should be able to lead the orange deep into the tournament.

5. Florida
-The 18-3 Gators were coming off a 10 game win streak before losing to Arkansas.  As well as having only 1 loss in the SEC, they are led by senoir guard Kenny Boynton.  With a fairly easy schedule they have moved down on my list due to losses from unranked Michigan State, and Arkansas.
